Zoom and position

Zoom and position let you size the device and place it anywhere on the canvas, such as low on an App Store screenshot to leave room for a headline above it.

#Zoom and move the device

  1. In the editor, go to the Frame section. On iPhone, tap Format, then tap Zoom & Position to show the controls over the preview.

  2. Adjust any of the following:

    • Zoom: Drag right to make the device larger, or left to make it smaller. It snaps to the standard size as you pass it.
    • Vertical: Drag to move the device up or down.
    • Horizontal: Drag to move the device left or right.

The device can extend past the edge of the canvas. Anything outside the canvas is cropped.

#About zooming in

When you zoom in, Frames keeps the device just as sharp, and crops the canvas in around it rather than enlarging the device art beyond its detail. So a zoomed-in project exports as a slightly smaller image. See Export size and resolution.

The shadow grows with the device, because a bigger device casts a bigger shadow.
