Set up Frames

The first time you open Frames, a short welcome walks you through the basics. It takes less than a minute, and you can change every choice later in Settings.

#Go through the welcome

  1. Open Frames, then tap or click Continue on the welcome screen.

  2. Pick a style: Choose the look Frames uses when you frame a screenshot quickly, such as with Quick Frame: Light, Graphite, Transparent, Sunset or Ocean.

  3. Set up Quick Frame (Mac only): Choose where your screenshots are, and where framed ones are saved.

    • Frame from: Choose Folder for screenshots you take on this Mac (usually your Desktop), or Photos for screenshots synced from your iPhone and iPad.
    • Save to: Choose Photo Library, a folder, or Ask each time.

iPhone and iPad skip this step, because Frames finds your newest screenshot in your photo library.

  4. Frame your first screenshot: Choose Use My Latest Screenshot to frame the newest one right away, or Choose a Screenshot to pick one.

  5. Read the short list of things worth knowing, then close the welcome.

You can go back a step at any time, or skip the welcome altogether.

Tip: To see the welcome again, open Settings in Frames, then choose Getting Started.
