Troubleshooting

If Quick Frame picks the wrong screenshot

Quick Frame frames the newest screenshot it can find. If it picks the wrong one, or can’t find one, it’s usually looking in a different place than you expect.

#On iPhone or iPad

Quick Frame looks for the newest screenshot in your photo library.

  • If you only gave Frames access to some photos, Quick Frame can only see those. To let it see your newest screenshots, go to Settings > Apps > Frames > Photos, then choose Full Access. Or keep limited access and choose the screenshot in the picker Quick Frame shows.
  • If you declined photo access, Quick Frame shows the picker every time, so you can choose the screenshot yourself.
  • If the newest screenshot is in iCloud Photos and hasn’t downloaded yet, wait for it to finish downloading, then try again.

#On Mac

Quick Frame looks in the source chosen in Settings > Quick Frame.

  • Screenshot Source: Choose Folder for screenshots you take on this Mac, or Photos for screenshots synced from your iPhone and iPad.
  • Quick Frame Folder: Make sure it’s the folder your screenshots are saved to. macOS saves them to the Desktop unless you’ve changed it in the Screenshot app’s Options menu.

#Images Frames made

Quick Frame skips images that Frames saved, so it won’t frame a framed screenshot again. If the newest image in the source is one Frames made, it moves on to the newest real screenshot.
