iCloud
Sync across your devices
With iCloud, your projects, Groups and presets follow you across your devices. Make something on iPhone and it’s waiting on your iPad and Mac.
#Turn on iCloud sync
There’s nothing to set up in Frames. Sync works automatically when, on each device:
- You’re signed in to the same Apple Account.
- iCloud Drive is turned on.
- Frames is allowed to use iCloud. On iPhone and iPad, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud. On Mac, go to System Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
#Check when Frames last synced
Open Settings in Frames and look below the About section. It shows when your library last synced, or says if iCloud isn’t available on this device.
#Things to know
- Your projects are stored in the private area of your own iCloud account. The developer can’t see, read, recover or delete them.
- Projects sync in the background. A new project can take a few moments to appear on your other devices.
- Deleting a project on one device also deletes it on your other devices.
- Syncing uses your iCloud storage. Frames stores screenshots efficiently, and screen recording video doesn’t sync. See Screen recordings and iCloud.
To keep Frames entirely on one device, turn off iCloud for Frames. Projects already on the device stay where they are.
