Export and share
Export size and resolution
How large an exported image is depends on the canvas, the device, and whether you have Frames Pro.
#Without Frames Pro
Images are exported at up to 2048 pixels on the longest side. That’s sharp enough for most websites, documents and social posts.
App Store canvas sizes are the exception: they’re always exported at Apple’s exact size, such as 1320 × 2868 for iPhone, with or without Frames Pro.
The Canvas section of the editor tells you when a project would be larger at full resolution, and by how much.
#With Frames Pro
Images are exported at the device frame’s full native resolution, the sharpest the device art allows. For a large device on a wide canvas, that can be several thousand pixels across.
#Export one image at full resolution without Frames Pro
You can use a free Pro export to export one image at full resolution:
-
In the editor, go to the Canvas section. On iPhone, tap Format first.
-
Choose Export at Full Resolution (on Mac, Save at Full Resolution), then save or share the image.
A free Pro export is used only when the image is actually saved or shared. See Your free Pro exports.
#Why zooming in makes a smaller image
When you zoom in, Frames crops the canvas in around the device rather than enlarging the device art past its detail. The device is just as sharp, but the image is smaller. See Zoom and position.
Small devices, such as Apple Watch, also produce smaller images, because their art is smaller.
