Troubleshooting

If Frames says “No Frame Found”

Frames finds the right device by matching the exact size of a screenshot. If the size doesn’t match any device Frames supports, the editor shows “No Frame Found. This screenshot doesn’t match a supported device size.”

#Use the original screenshot

A screenshot stops matching when its size changes. This usually happens when it’s been:

  • Cropped or edited after it was taken.
  • Sent through an app that shrinks images, such as some messaging and social apps.
  • Saved from a website or a document rather than from the device that took it.

Add the original screenshot from the device that took it, or one sent with AirDrop or iCloud Photos, which keep its full size.

#Check the device

Frames supports iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Studio Display. If the screenshot came from a device that isn’t on the list, Frames has no device to put it in. See Supported devices.

An iPhone screenshot taken with Display Zoom turned on is a different size from a normal one. Frames recognizes zoomed screenshots taken on the iPhone it’s running on, but not ones from another iPhone.

#Use the screenshot without a device

You can still use a screenshot that doesn’t match. In the editor, turn off Frame, then use Corners to round its corners. It keeps your background and shadow. See Round the corners.
