Presets
Choose how new projects start
Every screenshot you add opens in a look you choose: the way you last framed something, a saved preset, or plain.
#Choose a starting look
-
Open Settings in Frames, then go to New Projects.
-
Choose an option from Start From:
- Last Used: New projects open in the look you last used in the editor.
- Nothing: New projects open plain: a white background, no shadow, and a 1:1 canvas.
- A preset: New projects open in that preset’s look. See Save a look as a preset.
If the starting look uses an App Store size, each new project gets the App Store size for its own device.
#Skip naming new projects
In Settings, turn off Name New Projects. New projects open right away, named for what they are, such as “iPhone Screenshot.” Files you open keep their own names either way.
With Frames Pro, you can also turn off Name Imported Groups, so a batch imported into a new Group is named for the folder it came from, or the date, without asking.
Note: Quick Frame uses its own setting, Style, in the Quick Frame section of Settings. See Use Quick Frame.
