Play back a screen recording

A recording plays inside its device frame right in the editor, so you can see exactly how the export will look.

#Use the playback controls

The controls are below the preview.

  • Play or pause: Tap or click the Play button. With a keyboard, press the Space bar.
  • Skip: Use the skip buttons to go back or forward 10 seconds.
  • Scrub: Drag along the playback bar to move to any point.
  • Mute: Tap or click the speaker button to turn the sound off or on.

Muting is saved with the project, and a muted project exports without sound. The recording file itself keeps its audio, so you can unmute at any time.
