What syncs and what doesn’t
Most of what you make in Frames syncs with iCloud. A few things stay on each device, either because they’re large or because they’re about that device.
| Item | Syncs with iCloud |
|---|---|
| Projects, including their screenshots and look | Yes |
| Groups | Yes |
| Presets | Yes |
| Your remaining free Pro exports | Yes |
| Screen recording video | No. It stays on the device that imported it. The rest of the project syncs. |
| Your Frames Pro purchase | No, but it’s tied to your Apple Account. Use Restore Purchases on another device if needed. |
| Settings, such as Export as JPEG and Quick Frame options | No. Each device keeps its own. |
| Your last-used look, and the device and color remembered for each screenshot size | No. Each device remembers its own. |
#Screen recordings
A recording’s project, look and preview image sync, so it appears in your library everywhere. To play or export it on another device, add the video on that device. See Screen recordings and iCloud.
#Frames Pro
Your purchase belongs to your Apple Account, so it works on every iPhone, iPad and Mac signed in to that account. Frames usually notices it automatically. If it doesn’t, use Restore Purchases. See Buy or restore Frames Pro.
