Choose a device and color

Frames picks the device for you, but you can choose a different one that fits, change its color, or turn the device frame off.

#Change the device or color

  1. In the editor, go to the Frame section. On iPhone, tap Format first.

  2. Choose a device from the Device menu. Only devices whose screen matches your screenshot are listed.

  3. Choose a color from the Color menu. For Apple Watch, each choice combines a case color with a band.

Frames remembers the device and color you choose for that screenshot size, and uses them for the next screenshot of the same size. See How Frames matches your device.

#Show the screenshot without a device

In the Frame section, turn off Frame. The screenshot appears on its own, on your background and with your shadow. Use Corners to round its corners. See Round the corners.

If Frame can’t be turned on, Frames didn’t find a device that fits your screenshot. See If Frames says “No Frame Found”.

#Turn the device

Frames turns the device to match the screenshot: a landscape screenshot appears in a device on its side. To choose a different orientation, turn on Override Orientation, then choose one.

Override Orientation isn’t available for screen recordings, rows of several devices, or App Store canvas sizes.

Tip: The size of the screenshot, in pixels, is shown below the Frame section. It’s useful for checking that a screenshot hasn’t been resized.
