Troubleshooting
If your export is smaller than you expected
An exported image is sized by the canvas, the device art and Frames Pro. If it’s smaller than you expected, one of these is usually why.
#Without Frames Pro, images fit within 2048 pixels
Sharing, Quick Frame, the share sheet and Shortcuts export at up to 2048 pixels on the longest side without Frames Pro.
To export one image at full resolution, use a free Pro export: in the editor’s Canvas section, choose Export at Full Resolution (Save at Full Resolution on Mac). The Canvas section shows how large the full-resolution image would be. See Export size and resolution.
#You’ve zoomed in
Zooming in crops the canvas in around the device, rather than enlarging the device art past its detail. The device stays just as sharp, but the whole image gets smaller. Set Zoom back toward the standard size for a larger image. See Zoom and position.
#The device is small
Every device frame has a natural resolution, and Frames never exports a device larger than its art. Apple Watch frames, for example, produce much smaller images than iPad frames.
#You need an exact size
For App Store screenshots, choose the App Store size in the Canvas menu. App Store sizes are always exported at Apple’s exact pixels, with or without Frames Pro. See Set the canvas size.
