Use Control Center and the Lock Screen

On iPhone and iPad, Frames offers two controls you can add to Control Center or the Lock Screen, so you can frame a screenshot the moment you take it.

#The Frames controls

  • Quick Frame: Opens Frames and frames your newest screenshot, just like the Quick Frame button in the app. See Use Quick Frame.
  • Frame Clipboard: Opens Frames and makes a new project from the image on your clipboard, with your last-used settings. See Frame what’s on your clipboard.

#Add a control to Control Center

  1. Open Control Center, then touch and hold an empty area.

  2. Tap Add a Control.

  3. Search for Frames, then tap Quick Frame or Frame Clipboard.

  4. Tap an empty area to finish.

#Add a control to the Lock Screen

  1. Touch and hold the Lock Screen, then tap Customize.

  2. Tap Lock Screen, then tap a control at the bottom of the screen to replace it, or tap the remove button on one first.

On iPhone models with an Action button, you can also assign a Frames control to it in Settings > Action Button > Controls.
